It’s the end of the year and it’s been a big one so I thought I should do a bit of a review/update on plans. First to go over the things I’ve done, most of which I’m sure many of you are aware of but in case anyone isn’t, maybe you’ll find some new content to enjoy.
I am running a week-long follow-athon for all my social medias. While most of the rewards will be seen on Twitch, I think everyone can get behind the rainbow hair. Follow and share to turn me into a clown! (Yes, I will post a picture on the blog somewhere somehow.)
I started streaming on Twitch.tv! If you’re unaware of what that is, it’s a streaming website where people play video games and show other hobbies like art or writing. I mostly play video games as of right now but I do hope to show some writing and maybe even do a book Q&A every now and again. People are able to subscribe to support the streamer and it has become one of my biggest sources of income, which helps me create all my other content! If you’d like to follow and maybe even subscribe, click here for my Twitch channel.
Aradia The Witch
I doubt anyone missed how much I marketed this one, but obviously it’s worth mentioning. My greatest novel yet, filled with amazing art. I’m very proud of every aspect of the book, and I do have an idea for a sequel but if I do any publishing anytime soon another series is more important. If you’d like to read more about Aradia, or see upcoming books, click the “books” button at the top of this blog.
I am now running two Tiktoks to separate my gaming content from my gay author content (and whatever else goes on there?) That’s all I really have to say about that.
I’ve been aware of an issue where the text is black for some users, on some devices, some times. I believe I’ve come up with a solution. I hope the site views as intended from now on. Of course, be sure to comment if you see any glaring issues, it’s always appreciated.
Oh yeah, I’m selling my car
As you may be aware, I’m not exactly rich. When faced with the possibility of going broke, I had two options. Get a full time job and drop potentially all my creative endeavors, or go all in. So, I’ve decided to sell my car (which I rarely used anyway), to continue being a full time content creator (for at least another year or so). Now more than ever I would very much like your support in all that I do (haha, please help me not be bankrupt.)
I’m planning two trilogies that are (somewhat) related. These are next in line for publication since they are related to the Magi side of this blog as well as my Twitch. I hope to publish the first book as soon as Fall 2022. There’s a little information on the Books page of this blog, but in general both are heavily influenced by my Dungeons and Dragons campaigns I run with my friends. For copyright reasons a lot will be changed for the Celestial series, but Magisters is already almost entirely unique from DnD.
I have plans to begin writing short(er) stories for Kindle Vella. It is an Amazon service that allows writers to post episodic stories. Readers can read the first 3 episodes for free, then spend money on tokens that unlock future episodes. I think it’s a great way to expand my audience, and also include additional stories that may or may not be related to main publications but are too short to be a novel. An additional source of funding is always welcome as well. I have ideas for a prequel to Aradia The Witch, as well as prequels/side stories to future publications, but nothing is set in stone yet.
I plan to continue running this blog as I have been, however some of you may have noticed a slip on the Magi side of the blog. There’s been a postpone on those blog posts as I would like to have art done for them. Funding became a huge issue towards the end of this year but things are looking up and I plan to continue all my content creation for quite a while longer until I run out of funds (again) which hopefully doesn’t happen.
The next half a year will be spent breaking down the major realms of the universe of Magisters. I’m going to have art done for the landscapes of the realms, so that’s why there hasn’t been any updates for some time. There are at most seven realms that I can create (lengthy) posts about, each very unique worlds of people, cultures, and landscapes. I look forward to sharing them with you!
A lot’s happened and even more is on the way! Thank you to everyone who participates in the content I put out there. I’m feeling a lot more confident about the quality I am putting out there, and also more confident in my abilities to grow an audience, and that is thanks to all of you. I hope you continue to support me and I will try my best to not only put out good content but find ways to give back to the community.
